BDO chairman Jacklin threatens to sue John O'Shea after disagreement about World Masters trophy

The BDO era came to an end in September after all regional organisations decided to move to a new organization (UKDA). However, the BDO continues to be negatively in the news. Chairman Des Jacklin has threatened to sue John O'Shea.

The Irish darts player was the last player to win the World Masters in 2019. O'Shea still has the trophy at home. BDO chairman Jacklin wants the cup to be returned a year later, but O'Shea refuses to do so.

O'Shea is willing to hand over the World Masters trophy, but only when he has the opportunity to defend his title. Another option for The Joker is that he gives the cup to an active darts organization, which is reviving the tournament.

Jacklin insists, however, that the trophy belongs to the British Darts Organisation and demands a return. The British businessman gives O'Shea until Friday morning October 30, to return the cup, otherwise Jacklin will take legal action.
