This past week saw the BDO saga continue with chairman Des Jacklin travelling to seize the World Championship Trophy from current champion, Wayne Warren.
Warren as current champion and also due to the prize fund being diminished decided to keep it initially until it was back with Jacklin this past week.
But in wake of this, a crowd funding campaign was set up to buy a replica version of the trophy for Warren as a result.
As of time of writing, it sits at £1,644 with a £2,500 target to reach and in an update on the GoFundMe page, Warren's response was that he wanted to keep it until when the next World Championship would take place.
Those behind the campaign agreed and said that when the time is right, it will be offered to a governing body for potential future use as the trophy.
