With the BDO World Darts Championship not taking place this month due to the organisation’s demise, DartsNews looks back at classic moments and matches throughout January from the showpiece event.
Now onto 2015 and for the fourth year in a row, a new winner was added to the roll of honour at the BDO World Darts Championship as Scott Mitchell claimed it.
With victories over Tony O'Shea (3-2), Geert de Vos (4-2), Brian Dawson (5-2) and Jeff Smith (6-0), Mitchell got through to the final. He took on Martin Adams in the final beating Wolfie 7-6 for the title.
