Bradly Roes became the JDC World Youth Champion before action began on Saturday afternoon. He defeated Leighton Bennett who missed 15 match darts in all.
But for Roes, it was a dream win against a player who was expected to triumph at the Alexandra Palace.
"I have no words to say, I'm really proud of myself. I'm the World Champion, I always dreamt as a child of becoming World Champion and today's the day," said Roes to Tungsten Tales.
"Leighton (Bennett) is a great player, he's 14 and he's achieved many things. I wish I had that on the stage, he hit a lot of 180's and his doubles were flawless at that moment. But he missed doubles at the end, my mental state is strong."
