Osborne seals weekly win in MODUS Super Series with win over Kist

Colin Osborne crowned himself the weekly winner during the fourth week of play of the MODUS Super Series in Portsmouth last Saturday. Christian Kist finished in second place, while another Dutchman also showed well.

The best six players from the first five playing days met on Saturday divided into two groups during the final day of the playing week.

Osborne was in Group A with Christian Kist and Peter Hudson. In the group stage, Kist managed to win from Osborne, and Hudson was also defeated. Osborne narrowly won the mutual duel with Hudson 4-3 to move up to number two.

In the other group, Martijn Dragt managed victories over Ryan Furness and Scott Baker, while Furness continued in this group as number two in the tournament.

Kist then settled with Furness (4-3) in the first semi-final, while Osborne prevented a Dutch final with a 4-2 win over Dragt.

In the final, Kist had three match darts to take the weekly title, but 'The Lipstick' could not cash in on these chances. The final victory then went to 'Ozzy', earning £5,000 and securing a spot for the MODUS Super Series 'Champions Week'.

A MODUS Super Series cycle consists of 13 weeks. Each week, a new competition is completed with a weekly winner emerging. The 12 weekly winners compete in the thirteenth week of play for overall victory in the cycle. This overall winner takes the absolute top prize of £20,000.
