Last night, eight darters started the final day of the US Darts Masters. This tournament took place for the second consecutive year at New York's Madison Square Garden.
British fans had to set their alarm clock to follow the proceedings, as the tournament was broadcast at midnight UK time. If they did they would have seen how Michael van Gerwen took the title of this World Series tournament by successively beating Jim Long (6-2), Rob Cross (7-6) and Jeff Smith (8-0).
