Rob Cross and Michael van Gerwen have safely navigated the first round stage at the Brisbane Darts Masters.

Cross is still looking for a first World Series title and has gone very close this year. He started well in doing so against Tim Pusey.
A 95.8 average went a long way to confirming a 6-2 victory for Voltage.
Van Gerwen eased through also against Mark Cleaver only needing to average 99 to claim a 6-2 win.
Four 180’s were hit and it could have been a more emphatic win for Mighty Mike had he not wasted match darts which allowed Cleaver back in.
