Rob Cross is on the verge of joining an elite list by topping the Premier League before the O2 Arena Play-Offs crown the champion and with a win or a Michael van Gerwen defeat he would guarantee this.
This means he would join Van Gerwen and Phil Taylor in finishing top of the league and would collect £25,000 as a bonus. He spoke about this and admitted that it would be a real privilege especially considering how tough it has been to do. He is not looking past his opponent James Wade though who himself has been in terrific form but he believes he will play proper darts and claim the win in the end. "It would be a real privilege to join Phil and Michael on the list of league phase winners," said Cross. "If it was easy to do then there would be a fair few more players on that list, so I can't take for granted how special it would be. "I've got a tough game against James on Thursday, he's played brilliant darts throughout the Premier League and he's got a great chance to qualify. I'm going to have to play proper darts to get the win and I believe I will." for more information about the Premier League Darts, including all the fixtures and the prize fund breakdown.
