Jeffrey de Zwaan’s World Matchplay run came to its end in the semi-finals at the hands of Gary Anderson who faces Mensur Suljovic tonight (Sunday) in the final.

Despite that though, De Zwaan admits he is proud of how he played in the tournament but that his doubles did abandoned him half way through the loss. "Of course I am proud of how I played this tournament", said De Zwaan after the match on RTL7. "It is a pity that I lost to Gary Anderson" The first half of the game ran smoothly, then Anderson went from 7-7 to 14-9. Four misses on the double in the 21st leg (for 9-12) cost 'The Black Cobra' his chance of winning. "I just did not get my first dart. It did not feel good at all. I threw a hundred average, but it was too much work I think ", analyzed the 22-year-old Dutchman. De Zwaan also agreed that the doubles abandoned him halfway through the game. "When I missed those darts and saw Gary go out like this, I thought: I really left it there. It is a pity. I basically just played a good tournament. I am satisfied with the shared third place.
