Gary Anderson and Mensur Suljovic will face off in the World Matchplay final later tonight and it will be a unique final as it’s the first one without an Englishman involved.

This outcome was confirmed in the semi-finals with two Scots, an Austrian and Dutchman left involved.
Most years the finals have included Phil Taylor or James Wade meaning with Taylor bowing out last year in particular that the outcome of an Englishman in the final was unlikely to happen for the first time.
