The opponent of Dirk van Duijvenbode at the UK Open has had to cancel. Due to the weather conditions in the United Kingdom, Mick McGowan is unable to travel to Minehead from Ireland.

Van Duijvenbode receives an exemption in the first round. 'The Titan' comes into action in the second round against Alan Norris on the main stage.
Because of the many snowfall a lot of traffic has been stranded and flights and trains have been canceled. Earlier, the PDC decided to cancel the fifth round of the Premier League Darts in Exeter. Passage to the UK Open is also not entirely certain, but for now the plans for this tournament are unchanged.
