Glen Durrant Lakeside

Glen Durrant moved into his third successive Lakeside after producing a strong display to defeat Jim Williams in the semi-finals of the BDO World Darts Championship.

The match had two key moments, with Durrant taking the advantage in both occasions. Williams missed two darts to win the fourth set and 'Duzza' punished him for a 3-1 lead. The Welshman managed to level the match at 3-3, but a second mistake became fatal for 'The Quiff'.
Williams missed a dart to win the eighth set to make four all. Durrant took out his chance and had a two sets lead again (5-3). The 48-year-old claimed the nineth set as well to seal his place in the Lakeside final, where two-time tournament winner Scott Waites awaits.
Durrant can become the second player after Eric Bristow to win the Lakeside three times in a row. Bristow won this tournament three constructive times between 1984 and 1986. ‘The Crafty Cockney’ claimed the title five times in his career.
