Durrant wins third consecutive BDO World Championship title with win over Waites

Glen Durrant is the BDO World Champion for the third time in a row joining an exclusive club of players who have won this amount of world titles.

Durrant saw off Scott Waites in a 7-3 victory over the two-time Lakeside champion. Waites took the lead at 3-2 after the first few sets were even but from there 'Duzza' tied it up and pulled away to claim the big win.
It was a 95 average in the end for Durrant as he once again lived up to the pre tournament billing as the favourite and added to his collection in the process.
Both players might have played their last game in the BDO. Durrant and Waites are trying to win a coveted Tour Card at PDC UK Q-School next week.
