Glen Durrant bowed out of the
Grand Slam of Darts last night with a loss to Peter Wright, somebody who 'Duzza' defeated in the group stages to reach the knockout phase.
The BDO World Champion though will leave with his head held high with more fans who want him to make the switch to the
PDC next year.
Durrant's main failing was his doubles which he missed 32 at and after the game he spoke about his performance but also the Grand Slam as a whole.
'I'm incredibly disappointed in my performance tonight. I don't know why I played like that.'
"I really wanted to put on a show tonight - what an opportunity, to play Peter Wright live on Sky on a Friday night. It was my moment and it just didn't happen.
"The whole Grand Slam is brilliant and certainly for the BDO players. The crowd were great but early doors I was really poor and I don't know why."
