Daryl Gurney edged out Michael Smith on Thursday night in the Premier League and for the Northern Irishman he is pleased to keep himself in the top four.

Gurney said in terms of the game that he had to keep calm throughout due to what Smith can do and he did so.
‘One minute I’m playing steady behind in the game but confident I can come back,’ said Gurney to Live Darts.
‘I thought to myself don’t react, just keep yourself calm which I did.’
‘At the end of the day if you give a player like Michael Smith the chance to come back in a game, he’s gonna grab it with both hands and he’s going to beat you.’
‘Honestly to get another win in the Premier League I am happy to keep myself in the top four.”
"I finished fifth last year so if I can do top four this year I'll be really happy."
