Daryl Gurney has had a really good season in the Premier League and his reward was a hard-fought place in the play-offs. He summed it up ahead of Thursday night and admits it's a dream come true.
Now he is dreaming though of claiming glory at the O2 and said that he believes anything is now possible. He added that he knows he will be the underdog; but that tag doesn't bother him. This is due to him only needing to win twice; as a result he really fancies his chances of upsetting the odds come finals night. "I'm absolutely delighted to make it to The O2, it really is a dream come true and now anything is possible," said Gurney. "To play in front of a massive crowd at such a famous darts venue is another tick in the box of what I want to achieve in my career and I'm already looking forward to it. "Of the four players next week I'll probably be the fourth favourite, but being the underdog doesn't bother me as I know what I can do. "As long as you've got the belief, along with scoring power and a high finishing percentage, then you can beat anyone. "Just two wins on the night will win you the Premier League and I really fancy it. "Whenever the pressure is on me, for some reason I play my best darts. When I'm playing the best players in the world it takes me to another level and that's what I'll be aiming to reproduce in London." for more information about the Premier League Darts, including all the fixtures and the prize fund breakdown.
