Luke Humphries became the latest player to seize his second chance yesterday on the PDC Home Tour and he defeated Mike van Duivenbode to do so.
Humphries lauded praise on the young Dutchman afterwards and spoke about the various talents coming through the Development Tour, which he dominated for a number of years.
"Talking about me being World Youth Champion, looking back on my Development Tour and I thought you know what I beat a lot of good young players when I was a nobody. I had to work so hard there and it made me as a player and I have played Mike (van Duivenbode) a few times and he is a fantastic talent," said Humphries.
"He's just an array of talent that's around at the moment. I feel like an old man, I do feel like that because there's so many good youngsters that are five or six years younger than me creeping up now and this sport is going to be very scary in ten years time."
