Phil Taylor ended his career in darts which has been a very illustrious one by losing to Rob Cross in a 7-2 defeat to 'Voltage' who smashed 'The Power'.

The scoreline though didn't dictate the scoring of Taylor who played well despite the heavy defeat but just couldn't match the former electrician from Hastings and he admits it just didn't happen for him on the night and he also spoke about wiring the 9 darter which Paul Lim also did earlier in the tournament.
"It was close, I think the Paul Lim one would have been better, but it didn't go in and it didn't matter really," said Taylor.
"At the start I thought I was going to lose 7-0 but when I got a set I thought to try and keep the score respectable and try and push him and make him think a bit but it just didn't happen."
