BDO World youth championship title with a 3-1 win over Irelands Killian Heffernan. The Dutchman, who is very highly thought of in the world of darts, recovered from losing the first set, to win nine legs in a row in a contest that has eclipsed many of the senior men's matches this week.
The opening leg set the tone of the match, the Irishman Heffernan taking out a stunning 156 out to break the JvT throw. He followed that up with a classy 87 in 2 darts before Van Tergouw responded with a tournament high matching 170. Heffernan would then take the set with a tops finish.
The rest of the match became all about the Dutchman. Top Shot just couldn't live with the reigning champs scoring, and as Van Tergouw eased further and further ahead. Winning 9 straight legs as he closed out the match with relative ease. JvT also helped himself to finishes of 131, 100 in 2 darts, and a match winning 132!
