Lisa Ashton qualifies for PDC World Championship after winning British Women's Qualifier

Ashton defeated Maria O’Brien 6-3 in the final with a 83 average. She did so with a 132 checkout in the final leg to break the throw of O’Brien and claim qualification.
On the way to claiming qualification, ‘The Lancashire Rose’ defeated the likes of Jane Densley, Denise Cassidy and Rhian Griffiths. She won 4-0 five times in a row, before beating Rhian Griffiths 5-2 in the semi-finals.
