Mick McGowan and Kevin Burness will contest this year’s Tom Kirby Memorial Irish Matchplay final on the World Grand Prix stage after a recent tournament in Tramore.
McGowan also known as the Magnet is a well known figure on the PDC tour but hasn’t competed since April on the tour.
This means he will very much likely have to go back to Q-School in January.
It is good though to see that the form is still there and now he will contest the final.
His opponent is a newcomer to the PDC tour and a tour card holder in his own right in Kevin Burness. As a result it could be a good battle to see who will reach the World Championship.
