The first European Tour event of the season took place this past weekend with the statistics revealed for it.
Rob Cross leads the averages and 180’s with his overall average in the first weekend being of 102.58 and his maximum count being 20.
This is compared to Adrian Lewis just behind him in the averages with 102.52.
In the 180 count, it was Daryl Gurney, Gerwyn Price and Peter Wright following him with 10 each.
Adam Hunt topped the checkout percentage with 75% over the course of his weekend, just ahead of Wright who had 57.5%.
Michael van Gerwen topped the 100+ checkout totals with 7, he only tops the table from Cross due to his 170.

- Maybe the supposed top players are burnt out from the endless travelling and tournaments, I just don't think they have the dedication or outright desire to win. I think they are more interested in the money and being popular, just keeping their rankings steady. The only thing that mattered to Phil Taylor was winning, not winning a few games to top up the money pot and seeking the fans attention. Maybe there is too many tournaments now and the enthusiasm is gone. This year especially has seen so many different winners and unexpected draws and line ups.richieburnettrocks14-11-2024
