Players Championship 13 Results, Last 16: Wright, Lewis and Gurney all through to Quarter-Finals

The Quarter-Final line-up is confirmed with the likes of Peter Wright, Daryl Gurney and Adrian Lewis still in the reckoning in Barnsley as well Jeffrey de Zwaan and William O'Connor who have impressed all day.
Wright edged out Raymond van Barneveld in a last leg decider win where both players averaged around the 95 mark. As a result, it brings to an end another brilliant run for 'Barney' who seems to finally be finding his best darts when he needs it.
Gurney could be earmarked as a potential favourite now for the title due to his current form and his European Tour win this year and he edged out Danny Noppert in his last 16 clash meaning it wasn't as easy as his win over Vincent van der Voort.
O'Connor and De Zwaan who will face off in the Quarter-Finals were probably the most impressive though hitting 105 and 106 averages in their respective wins, could 'The Magpie' finally fly to a first title or will the Dutchman pick up another ranking title to end an impressive April?

- I agree. With the number of tournaments these days?, Phil could probably earn £2 million a year if still playing. I can't believe Chisnall has earned over half a million for being so inept, he barely gets past the first round, stealing a living. That's outrageous.richieburnettrocks26-11-2024
- As prize money increases each year and there are now more tournaments then logically breaking the £2 million barrier is going to happen, only thing preventing it is the now deeper strength in depth of the darting field. If you took Taylor’s best two consecutive years and substituted the prize money from now onto the tournaments he won he would have passed the £2 million.Mysstree26-11-2024
