Rob Cross recently caught up with Dartsnews.com to do an
interview at the Target Launch a few weeks ago and this is the first part of a two-part interview we did with the player known as 'Voltage' who has shocked the darting world with his rise up the rankings as of late. Cross firstly spoke about the first Target Launch he has been apart of and how special they are and how good they have been to him since signing for the company only a few months back. "I think it’s brilliant, I’ve come here obviously only getting signed to Target this year and the understanding I’ve come in to see what they do! I think it’s special they make all their products workable and everything, Target have been good to me when making my own darts and they’ve been brilliant really." He then went onto speak about why he chose Target explaining that he already used their equipment and as a result it was the place he wanted to be. "I’ve always played with a Target set up with the flights and stems so that benefitted me as obviously I would have had to change if I went anywhere else, not only that but the quality of their stuff. I find them a lot more harder wearing, in fairness it was just a place that I wanted to be and they’ve also got the best players in the world." To end the first part of the interview, 'Voltage' spoke about joining a stable that includes the likes of Phil Taylor, Raymond van Barneveld, Adrian Lewis, Stephen Bunting and Keith Deller and how much his life has changed in the two years since he started his darting journey. "It’s been brilliant how my life has changed in 2 years, you just couldn’t imagine. Just things are different now, it’s great to be around the people that have been there and done it and hopefully I’ll enjoy many years of me doing it"
