Rob Cross has had a bad weekend behind the UK Open Qualifiers. The reigning world champion went down in his first game on Sunday for the third day in a row.

'Voltage', due to his ranking, was allowed to enter the third round every time, but could barely make use of it. On the first day, Cross lost to Corey Cadby (2-6).
On day two, Jamie Hughes was too strong for the number three in the world. The two time semi-finalist at Lakeside lost four legs against the 27-year-old Englishman. On Sunday, Cross missed four matchdarts against Ryan Meikle before losing 6-5.
The darter from Hastings is therefore still without prize money on the UK Open Qualifiers ranking. He will get three more chances to win the final tournament of the UK Open next weekend.
