Raymond van Barneveld apologized for his reaction to a frustrated fan who had abused Barney. The Dutch Legend, after his defeat against Peter Wright at the German Darts Masters, got the abuse sent to him.
On social media, however, there was also a screenshot with the reaction of Van Barneveld to these statements. The five-time world champion now regrets this reaction.
Yesterday I posted a tweet from the horrible things you sometimes get after a loss. In my anger at that moment I replied which I shouldn’t have done in a matter that is not worthy of a 5-time World Champion. I apologise for that ! Need to ignore those messages but not always easy'', Van Barneveld said on Twitter.
