The house from Raymond van Barneveld was raided on Saturday morning. A spokesman for the police reports that several robbers are involved in the incident. It is not yet known whether weapons have been used in the robbery.
When the house was raided, someone would have been at home, Omroep West reported. Van Barneveld himself was not at home. The 50-year-old Dutchman played at an exhibition tournament in Barnsley on Friday evening. It is still being investigated whether something has been taken from the house. The police did not want to say anything about the circumstances of the robbery. The five-time World Champion is also not allowed to say anything, he told Omroep West.

- I dont like individuals or crowds trying to put any player off when they are trying to check out, how anyone can think its okay for the crowd to whistle or shout as someone is throwing for a double is beyond me but it does seem to have become part and parcel of the modern game. I no longer play now, darts is as good as dead at a local level round my way but when i did play many years ago, no matter how intense the rivalry you never shouted out or whistled when an opponent from the other team was throwing for a double.Mysstree17-11-2024
