Van Gerwen after Dutch Darts Masters final defeat to White: 'I couldn't find the perfect end to a fantastic week'

Michael van Gerwen lost out to Ian White in the final of the Dutch Darts Masters after a week that saw him lift the Premier League title once again.
It was one hurdle too much for 'Mighty Mike' who lost out to the Stoke-on-Trent ace who took consecutive titles in the process on the European Tour.
Van Gerwen reacted to the defeat afterwards on his Twitter and apologised to the supporters for not claiming a fifth straight title in Zwolle but admitted he had a good week.
'I couldn't find the perfect end to a fantastic week. All credit to Ian White for winning the Dutch Darts Masters,' said Van Gerwen.
'Thanks for all the support sorry I couldn't deliver the title in my home country but I think we had a good week.'
