Michael van Gerwen and James Wade shared the points in the final match of the night in Birmingham in a thrilling contest.

It wasn’t revenge for Van Gerwen but it was nearly repeat for Wade who broke in the latter stages to go one away. Both players were sublime though with 106 for MVG and 103 for Wade average wise.
Van Gerwen started off by punishing Wade for missed doubles to go 1-0 up but with some sublime finishing, Wade smashed in two 121 checkouts on the bull to go 2-1 up.
Wade went 3-2 up but MVG still pounced on further missed doubles this time once again for a 121 checkout to level proceedings up. ‘The Machine’ didn’t falter though and took the lead throughout the tie when Van Gerwen levelled up.
It went with throw until Wade was 6-5 and made it 7-5 to break Mighty Mike. Van Gerwen produced some brilliance as he often does in the final legs with a 12 darter to make it 7-6 then produced a good leg on throw to draw with the in form Aldershot ace.
