The Gibraltar Darts Trophy is coming up this weekend with a look back at one of the cursed moments in the whole of the Euro Tour which occurred at the event back in 2013. It involved Ross Smith and him hitting a 9-darter against Adrian Lewis.
This ended up to begin the Curse of Ross Smith which has seen no 9-darters hit on the European Tour since that point. Considering the increase in standard and the amount of attempts, this is mindboggling.
Smith is involved in Gibraltar this weekend having qualified through the UK Qualifier after an absence from the European Tour. Also there is Adrian Lewis who of course he hit it against.
