Wade after comeback win over Brown: ‘Santa has come a little bit early for me’

James Wade saw off Keegan Brown in a marathon win that saw ‘The Machine’ use his experience to get the better of the Isle of Wight ace.
Wade spoke afterwards and summed it up as Santa coming early and that it feels amazing to be through.
"It feels amazing, I'm so happy and Santa has come a little bit early for me," said Wade, who will return after Christmas to take on Ryan Joyce.
"I was numb at the end of the match. I can't explain how I came back and won.
"I'm going to enjoy myself now. I'm very excited for Christmas. It's my first one with my son and as a family so I'm really excited and really happy."

- I dont like individuals or crowds trying to put any player off when they are trying to check out, how anyone can think its okay for the crowd to whistle or shout as someone is throwing for a double is beyond me but it does seem to have become part and parcel of the modern game. I no longer play now, darts is as good as dead at a local level round my way but when i did play many years ago, no matter how intense the rivalry you never shouted out or whistled when an opponent from the other team was throwing for a double.Mysstree17-11-2024
