The left-hander defeated Michael Smith 8-6 in the final of Players Championship 11. Both players faced each other last week as well in the final of a floor event, where 'The Machine' beat 'Bullyboy' 8-2.
Wade kicked off the tournament superb with a whitewash win against Eddie Dootson. The world number nine averaged 110 in this match. Joe Murnan (6-5), Vincent van der Voort (6-3), Krzysztof Ratajski (6-3) and Jonny Clayton (6-3) were also beaten en route to the semi-finals. Wade came 5-3 down against Ian White in the semi-final, before he claimed four legs on the spin to reach the final.
'The Machine' produced another comeback in the final, as Smith took a 4-2 lead after six legs. However Wade won six of the next eight legs to win his 32nd
PDC title.
