Wade continues return to form, Suljovic defeats Hughes & Smith completes Round 3 lineup

Round 2 of the European Darts Open from Leverkusen is complete and James Wade, Mensur Suljovic and Michael Smith have completed the line-up with wins over Jelle Klaasen, Jamie Hughes and Darren Johnson respectively.
'The Machine' won 6-3 against Klaasen averaging 94 in the process with Wade finally starting to find his form again after multiple deep runs in Pro Tour events as of late backing that up. He will face the final winner of the night Michael Smith who defeated Darren Johnson, Smith looked brilliant in spells and so it could be a good game between the pair. Also Mensur Suljovic has made it through to tomorrow's final day. He overcame Jamie Hughes in not a stellar performance from 'The Gentle' but it was still enough against Hughes. - Is this the start of an attempt to say that he (Littler) is the best ever as he has won most money. Perhaps adjust all prize money earned by allowing for inflation. If Littler gets close too (does not even have to overtake) both MVG’s and Taylor’s Major titles total then he is in the conversation. - It is shocking and unbelievable that 2 Hotty who was always such a decent player, 2 time World Champion and won the Grand Slam when it meant something. He really should have joined the PDC earlier. He has just disappeared off the radar. Such a shame when one of your favourite players just dissappears. I guess he is concentrating on the carpentry. It is quite pathetic and desperate the way Bunting and Arsepinall pander to the crowd to dance to their walk on music, that has worked though. I would like to see more players involved on a weekly basis similar to the Modus Super Series. A knockout tournament with 16 winners from each week.
