Michael Barnard is the second winner of the day in the Challenge Tour winning the sixth event and his first PDC title. This is after reaching two Challenge Tour finals this year and he has avenged those defeats with a 5-2 victory over Jason Lowe. John Davey won the first event of the weekend, read about that here.

Lowe is a tricky opponent with the UK Open Qualifiers this year showing that with his form seemingly continuing. He defeated Ryan Murray, Dennis Smith and Adam Huckvale on the way to his meeting with Barnard.
Barnard himself defeated some tricky opponents on the way to the final. These included Krzysztof Ratajski, Richie Corner and Robert Rickwood. Average wise the Romford ace averaged 105 in the final to Lowe's 100 showing how difficult the Challenge Tour is.
