It is still unsure whether Peter Wright will be taking part in the 2018 PDC World Darts Championship. 'Snakebite' made another visit to the hospital on Monday, Dutch RTL 7-reporter Arjan van der Giessen reported on Friday night. Examination showed that Wright has three large gallstones in his body, for which he has received medication. He can only eat certain foods and has to take a lot of rest. On Wednesday, a third visit to the doctors showed the gallstones had gotten a little bit smaller. Wright has informed the PDC that he will be participating unless his condition gets worse over time. As a reaction, the PDC gave him a deadline: Wright has to announce whether he is in or out on the 20th of December around noon. This way, the PDC would be able to arrange a player to replace Wright if needed. Terry Jenkins, being the highest non-qualified player on the Order of Merit, is first in line.
