Lorraine Winstanley appointed new Head of Youth Development for Target Elite 1 programme

Lorraine Winstanley has been appointed as the new Head of Youth Development for the Target Darts Elite 1 prgramme, it has been announced.

Winstanley will take the role from Darryl Fitton who has been involved in the programme since its launch in 2018 and has been pivotal in helping some of the brightest young talents through including three World Youth Champions and four players who have gone on to join the PDC Tour.

The Buxton ace has big shoes to fill but has the pedigree to do so as a former World Master and World Championship finalist and it is a role she looks forward to.

"It's such an exciting opportunity to be involved with. To be able to just impart some of my experiences on to them and if everyone can take away a little bit of something then we will be heading in the right direction."
