Whitehead after winning week title in MODUS Super Series: ''All those support for my opponent motivated me'

Conan Whitehead has won the eighth week in the Modus Super Series. The 36-year-old Englishman thus earns £5,000 and also has a chance of winning the £2,20000 when the 12 week winners battle it out against each other later.

Whitehead defeated Ryan Furness 4-1 in the final. "I was completely ready for this match. Ryan had a lot of fans in the venue, but that motivated me extra to win the final", said Whitehead.

Without expectations

"I came here with no expectations and my first matches on Thursday were also particularly bad," continued The Barbarian. "But afterwards things started to get better and better. In the semi-final (against Andy Hamilton) I was particularly nervous, but in the final I had no nerves. This win means particularly a lot to me."
