500 fans per session to be allowed at German Darts Championship, costumes and chants not allowed

It was announced that the German Darts Championship will be held in Hildesheim with further changes made to the European Tour schedule.

This has seen such tournaments in Budapest, Jena, Gibraltar and Prague all cancelled for this year with this event in Hildesheim between September 25-27 added as a result.

It is a venue which will see darting action sooner than that though with the PDC Autumn Series held at Halle 39 only a few weeks before from September 12-16.

But while the Autumn Series won't see any fans, this event will albeit with restrictions as was revealed by PDC Europe.

There will only be 500 fans allowed in per session due to Coronavirus, masks will also be compulsory for those moving around the venue barring those sitting down. Table service will see food and drink served at tables.

While the big caveat comes with fans not allowed to wear fancy dress and chants also 'must be avoided' during the tournament.
