Michael Smith has qualified for the third round of the
German Darts Grand Prix. During the match, the alarm suddenly went off.
Smith took on
Cameron Menzies in the second round. At a 2-0 lead for the former world champion, the alarm suddenly went off at the Kulturhalle Zenith in Munich.
The fans seemed to care little, as they simply sang on. On stage, however, both men were clearly distracted. For example, Menzies held his hands in front of his ears and Smith also seemed momentarily affected. After a short break, Smith eventually won the leg to take a 3-0 lead. Afterwards it still became quite exciting, but 'Bullyboy' eventually won 6-4.
In the third round, Smith will take on Josh Rock on Monday afternoon, who was too strong for Richard Veenstra in the second round, 6-5.
