Anderson on return to Scotland line-up after World Cup glory: "I'm old school, you can't break up a winning team"

Gary Anderson returned to action at the Nordic Darts Masters for the first time since the World Matchplay.

Anderson decided against playing in the World Cup of Darts with John Henderson taking his place and hoisting the country to glory alongside Peter Wright.

He discussed how it felt watching Henderson win the title alongside Wright during his time in Copenhagen.

"If I was representing Scotland, Peter (Wright) wouldn't have been putting that trophy up I tell you. Peter's won his titles, he's got loads under his belt but to see big John (Henderson) lift that and what it meant to to him. Everyone in Scotland's so proud of him especially up Aberdeen, Huntly way. It just shows when you watch his face you see what it actually meant to him," he said to Online Darts.

"Now he'll be one to watch out, he's got his confidence up, he'll be a player you'll not want to play against."

He also discussed the potential for his return to the Scotland line-up.

"I'm old school, you can't break up a winning team can you, so there's your answer."
