Seigo Asada is through to the second round at the PDC World Championship after defeating Mickey Mansell in a straight sets victory.
Asada eased through in a rout and hit a 92 average with 69 percent on his doubles throughout in a game he grew into as he aims to produce some of the quality darts he produced last year.
Mansell hit a 180 as he claimed his first leg of the contest but Asada came back to hit a 62 checkout to make it level in the early going.
Asada hit double 20 to take it the distance in what was a lively first set between the pair. Mansell had a shot at 83 which he missed on double 16 and Asada pinched the set with a 90 checkout.
Mansell took out 120 to level proceedings up in the second set at 1-1 leaving it finely poised but Asada held throw allowing him to go one set away from a 2-0 lead.
Asada streaked to going onea way picking out double 14 to double his lead in the third set and move with one of victory which he duly obliged hitting a 70 checkout to move through.
