Austria first through to World Cup of Darts final after dumping out England

Austria's pairing of Mensur Suljovic and Rowby-John Rodriguez broke new ground by reaching the semi-finals but they have gone one better by reaching the final of the 2021 World Cup of Darts in Jena.

In doing so, they have dumped out number one seeds England after a double singles success for the duo and will take on either Wales or Scotland shortly.

'The Gentle' was first up and he has risen to the occasion this weekend on his return to action following most of the year off due to issues off the oche.

None moreso than against James Wade producing a captain's display in averaging 109.6 in easing through 4-1 with three 180's to give Austria the lead.

It was then up to Chisnall to keep England in the tie or Rodriguez to send them through and it was the young Austrian who produced with a 4-1 victory averaging 102 in the process.

This included a magnificent 128 checkout on the bull which saw him break throw and set up the win at 3-1 up. Can they go all the way?
