Robyn Byrne is one of the emerging talents in women's darts. The 26-year-old Irishwoman recently reached the semifinals at the Women's World Matchplay.
Byrne was too strong in the opening round of the Women's World Matchplay 4-3 to Rhian O'Sullivan, in the semifinals she lost 5-3 to eventual winner Beau Greaves, despite putting up a brave fight. "Just being there was amazing. Being in that venue, doing all that media backstage, you really feel like a professional player," Byrne told Tungsten Tales.
In recent years, Byrne also participated in the World Masters several times. "I never actually tried to qualify for Lakeside or the World Masters," she says. "I did the qualifiers a couple of times but never the full tour. I've never really tried to get the opportunities."

Byrne's big dream is getting to the Alexandra Palace for the PDC World Darts Championship. "I'll definitely be giving my all again this year to try and qualify. Want to keep pushing forward."
