Dave Chisnall again extended his fantastic record over Stephen Bunting in another iteration of their St Helens derby with a 107 average and a whitewash win at the
European Championship which despite the emphatic win, he says is always difficult.
"I'm very happy, to play Stephen Bunting one of my best mates on tour, I don't know how he doesn't play his darts against me. I feel for him. I've just got to beat the player in front of me and I'm happy," said Chisnall to Online Darts.
He also nearly joined Luke Humphries in coming to Dortmund without his usual set of darts. 'Chizzy' left them in Barnsley but thankfully Ross Smith came to the rescue.
"I only practice one day a week and I left my darts in Barnsley. I picked my bag up and forgot my darts but Ross Smith picked them up and give them back yesterday. I change my darts every two months anyway so it didn't really matter."
Recent form has been utterly superb from Chisnall and when asked about a TV title, he lamented his past luck.
"I've been saying it for 10 years, I don't know how I haven't got one yet. But these players are so good, it's so hard to win. I have to hit 107, 108 and sometimes you don't even win."
