With the conclusion of the World Darts Championship, the first full year of new PDC Tour Card holders is also over. Weekly Dartscast took a look at the players who began their Tour Card period in 2022.

It should come as no surprise that of the newcomers, Josh Rock performed the best. 'Rocky' emerged as the darting sensation of the past season and also managed to win a PDC ranking title to his name. In addition, he also became World Youth Champion. Rock worked his way up to 36th place in the world rankings in his first year by grabbing 129,000 pounds in ranking prize money.

Rowby-John Rodriguez and Jim Williams also secured spots in the top-64 of the PDC Order of Merit within a single season. Rodriguez finds himself in 51st place after 12 months, while Williams is 59th.

Danny Jansen known as 'The Mullet,' who, like Rock and Williams, won a Players Championship tournament, earned 48,250 pounds and thus ended the year as number 73 in the world. In doing so, he left newcomers such as Cameron Menzies (74), Matt Campbell (75) and Nathan Rafferty (76) behind.
