"There was always a dartboard in our house so if my Dad forgot to take the darts out, I'd try and sneak a few throws in. A few holes in the wall but those are my first memories," said Clayton to Toyo Tires.
"Massive darts fans my family so Christmas time with Lakeside, the John Lowe's, the Eric Bristow's, the Leighton Rees. It's kind of always been in the family with us."
He also discussed his sporting heroes both in darts and outside of that.
"Phil Taylor's trophy cabinet is massive but for me, it is Taylor or Michael van Gerwen because two exceptional brilliant players."
"Sporting hero, I really do enjoy my rallys. Colin McRae as a rally driver, he was out to win and I kind of like that. Same in the boxing with Mike Tyson."
