Clayton edges past Heta in style as Cullen dispatches in-form Van Duijvenbode at Austrian Darts Open

The next Quarter-Final is set at the 2023 Austrian Darts Open as Joe Cullen will face Jonny Clayton later this evening in Graz.

Clayton was in impressive form as he took down Damon Heta. He produced a 105.89 average and sealed the win in style 6-4 with a 161 checkout on the bull.

While Cullen continues his resurgence in seeing off Dirk van Duijvenbode with 'The Titan' losing despite an average of 107 6-2.

The game had a spectacular start, with a 12-darter from Cullen and an 11-darter from Van Duijvenbode. Cullen then scored a 15-darter and an 11-darter to lead 3-1. Van Duijvenbode then threw out 94 for 2-3, but missed three chances to make it 3-3. His opponent then hit 40 to make it 4-2.

A 14-darter then brought Cullen to 5-2. Van Duijvenbode then started the next leg but missed darts to force another leg and Cullen took advantage with a 78 checkout to take the win.
