Home hero Suljovic stuns Michael Smith as Rock holds firm to seal Mansell win

The next Quarter-Final is confirmed with Mensur Suljovic continuing to dazzle in front of his home fans at the Austrian Darts Open in Graz.

Suljovic hammered Michael Smith 6-2 averaging 97 in victory but was clinical hitting 55% on the doubles to add the World Number One to his win list alongside Peter Wright yesterday and he is into the final session.

After initially being 1-1, Suljovic surged into a 3-1 lead with a 16-darter and held with a 78 checkout to make it 4-1.

Smith reduced the arrears with a 14-darter on double 13 to make it 4-2, but Suljovic produced a hammer blow with a 111 checkout with Smith sat on 81 to break.

Suljovic did secure a break with a 130 checkout missed for Smith and Suljovic hit a 47 checkout to seal victory.

He will now face Josh Rock who held his nerve to see off Mickey Mansell 6-5 in a Northern Irish battle. 'Rocky' produced a 93 average, three 180's despite missing 15 darts at double throughout the tie.
