Clayton reacts after Premier League Darts title triumph: “I’ve put Wales on the map again”

Jonny Clayton added to his Masters and World Cup title wins by becoming Premier League champion on Friday night.

In his debut year in the tournament, it was an all debutant final with Jose De Sousa defeated by ‘The Ferret’ and as expected, he was emotional post match.

He said about national pride with this title as well as being able to still play during the pandemic.

“I’ve put Wales on the map again and it’s just so incredible to be here and win this event,” said an emotional Clayton post match.

“We’re so lucky to have been playing over what has been such a difficult time for everyone.

“Jose is such a great player and I just tried to keep my cool and get over the line, I’m just so happy.”
