Gabriel Clemens is through to the second round of the PDC World Darts Championship on debut after a commanding straight sets win over Aden Kirk.

Clemens averaged 84 and hit six 180’s with a high checkout of 69 on the way to a brilliant victory. The German started the match off with a brilliant first set win with the turning point being him breaking the throw of Kirk in leg two. Kirk got his first leg on the board in the following set but when he started to claw it back, Clemens opened the following leg with a 180. ‘Captain Kirk’ couldn’t do enough to try and force a decider in that set as Clemens claimed the set. The following set went to a decider though. Kirk missed Double 20 to claim the set win and Clemens completed the job to move through. for more information about the PDC World Darts Championship, including schedules and the prize fund breakdown.
